Frequently Asked Questions

Where does this information come from?
In most cases it is obtained from speaking directly to an employee or when possible a manager at each individual business location. We also use airport websites, airport management, concession staffing companies, and of course feedback from users. We provide this as a free service and make no claim or guarantee of accuracy.
I found information on this site that is wrong, what's the deal?
Businesses open, close, and move; policies shift and things change. Occasionally discounts will vary at the same location based on the interpretation of an individual employee. Store hours can vary significantly seasonally and with flight schedules. We do not regularly update the information about each business after it is initially added to the site. We rely on users to notify us of changes or inconsistencies that they find. We provide this information as a free service and make no claim or guarantee of accuracy.
When will my airport be added?
Hopefully soon! Airports are added when our staff has the opportunity. All of our staff members are full-time airline crewmembers and gathering information, especially at large hub airports, can be very time consuming. Please do not send information on unlisted airports to us. We attempt to gather all known discounts before adding a new airport.
Why does the discount vary at different locations of the same business?
Individual business locations may be franchises or under different management. It is common for food courts or entire concourses to be run by third party staffing companies that set their own policies. Also, businesses tend to base their discounts on what other nearby businesses offer.
What is a "publication item" and why aren't they discounted?
Publication items are newspapers, magazines, books, etc. They typically have fixed prices with little or no profit margin and it is common for them to be excluded from any discount.
Why is alcohol sometimes excluded?
It is a common practice for alcohol to be excluded from employee discounts at restaurants and bars, both on and off the airport. Discounts are generally intended for employees who are at work or on break and will not be drinking anyway.
